The Atlas has two engine choices, a 235-horsepower four-cylinder or a more potent 276-horsepower V6. Both engines offer front- or all-wheel drives paired with an eight-speed transmission. The V6 engine has a refined feel and maintains a smooth ride for the occupants, and both engines have ample power when on the road around the Southlake area. In addition, precise steering gives the Atlas a controlled feeling and nimble ride either in the city or on the highway and effectively absorbs all but the largest potholes.
